Hi All...
Quick update. We are doing great. Enjoying the beautiful weather with lots of walks and sleeping with the windows wide open. Casey got her first tooth last Monday (bottom, front, right) and the one next to it is soon to come. She is trying very hard to crawl. She gets up on her hands and knees and rocks, and then falls forward. It won't be long until she's mobile and then what!???!! He he he!
Hope you are all doing well.
Take care.
Love,
Katie, Kyle, Casey and Jim

Happy Five Months!

We are...Penn State!
Stretching out...
You can't tell, but I'm completely nude under this towel ;)
Quoits and retrievers don't mix well...
Can you tell how much I love carrots??!

Hi Everyone :)
Just a quick update. All is well in Maryland. Casey had her first ear infection last week. Not too much of a big deal. I noticed she was very fussy on Monday, Tuesday she slept A LOT and then Wednesday she woke up with stuff draining from her ear. She's been on Amoxil and feeling just fine! At the doctor that day she weighed 17lbs, so clearly it did not affect her appetite. She's now eating squash, carrots and sweet potatoes along with her rice cereal in the mornings.

Our Labor Day picnic was not a big one, just a few friends...it was HOT that day, but college football in the cool living room was a big hit!!!

Heading to PA this weekend for our friends wedding celebration--CONGRATS Abby and Amaury!

Enjoy the pics--talk soon~

Four and a half months :)

Casey and the "bride" at the hair salon. I think Cami Stehly was making her laugh in the this picture!
The one and only picture I have of the bride--LOL! Smile :)
I love this picture. So serious!
...and then not so serious. She loves to eat!
Wearing shoes :) :)
Hi Everyone,
All is well in Maryland. Starting to feel more and more settled in. Weather has been beautiful. It's awesome to sleep with the windows open and there's a fabulous breeze off the bay most nights! Heather and Craig's wedding was great. We had a wonderful time. Casey looked adorable in her dress, I'll post pics of that as soon as I get some. As you can see, I only took one good picture of Heather that day...right before we went into the reception.
Casey's doing great. She loves to have her cereal twice a day now. She's working on sitting up on her own, but her newest trick is to throw her head back and look at the world upside down. Sometimes it scares me, but it is too cute!
Kilian's were down to visit last weekend for Kyle's birthday, great visit. This week the Dapkiewicz's are visiting Thursday-Friday and Jenna's visiting Friday-Sunday. We're having a little gathering for Labor Day next Saturday, too.
Hope to see many of you down here visiting soon!!!!

My two children!!!
Casey in her "lifeguard" chair!!!

Hi Everyone :)
She's four months old already?!! How time flies. We had our appointment this morning and she is doing excellent. She weighed 16 lbs and was 25.5 inches long. Which was the 90th and 97th percentile respectively! She is sitting with some assistance, standing up on laps and in the exersaucer, rolling both ways and trying with all her might to move. I can not get over it! She will be telling me what to do by her first birthday, I'm positive!!! She was a trooper getting her shots, too. She cried loudly and as soon as I picked her up, she stopped and started laughing at the techs. We start rice cereal tonight and if all goes well for the next few weeks, we'll be able to start veggies :) :)

We head to PA on Wednesday for Heather and Craig's wedding...we can't wait!! We'll be back on Sunday some time...

Settling in out here in MD. It is just lovely. Please come to visit soon!!!
Enjoy these pictures!!!

Finally an update!!!

Fourth of July Weekend
Playing Kentucky Derby with my dad
Swimming at the indoor pool in NY
Finally at my new house :)
Big Smile :) :)

Hi Everyone!!!
Sorry it's been so long since I've updated. Apparently, we've been very busy. Ha ha ha. Casey and I drove down to spend time with Kyle in Virginia for the fourth of July weekend. We spent time packing up our things at the Falls Church house and I made a lovely 4th of July feast in our hotel room at the Marriot Suites...and then we watched fireworks on tv! Fun! We came back to PA on Monday and the end of the next week we drove up to the Finger Lakes area of NY for Seth and Rachel's wedding. It was beautiful up there and the wedding was a blast. It was great to see friends of ours from California. And they got to meet Casey, too so that was nice. We returned to PA for a day and then on Tuesday the 15th, we packed up and Kyle, Casey, Jimmy, Kyle's mom and Kyle's aunt headed down to the new house in Shady Side, MD. Kyle's mom and aunt were a tremendous help in getting the new house all cleaned up as it definitely needed a good scrubbing. On July 19th, the rest of the troops (my parents, brother and cousin Nick) showed up to help us move everything from the Falls Church house to the new house. Of course it was blazing hot, but we got it done with everyone's help. At the end of the night the boys all went swimming in the Bay.

Casey has been doing very well. She is now rolling over from back to belly and I think this is helping her sleep better than ever. In fact, the past few days she's napped so much I've gotten more done around the house than I thought I would. She loves to sit up on our laps and is even standing in her exersaucer for short periods, too! By my measurements, she's about 25 inches long and weighs in the 15lb. range. We go to the dr. on 8/4 for her 4 month check up... can't wait to hear the official word.

All in all, the past month has been a trying one for us, but with all of your support and kindness we're finally settling in to our new home...and it is a great one. Please come and visit soon!!!

Love,

Katie, Kyle, Casey and Jimmy
