Four and a half months :)

Casey and the "bride" at the hair salon. I think Cami Stehly was making her laugh in the this picture!
The one and only picture I have of the bride--LOL! Smile :)
I love this picture. So serious!
...and then not so serious. She loves to eat!
Wearing shoes :) :)
Hi Everyone,
All is well in Maryland. Starting to feel more and more settled in. Weather has been beautiful. It's awesome to sleep with the windows open and there's a fabulous breeze off the bay most nights! Heather and Craig's wedding was great. We had a wonderful time. Casey looked adorable in her dress, I'll post pics of that as soon as I get some. As you can see, I only took one good picture of Heather that day...right before we went into the reception.
Casey's doing great. She loves to have her cereal twice a day now. She's working on sitting up on her own, but her newest trick is to throw her head back and look at the world upside down. Sometimes it scares me, but it is too cute!
Kilian's were down to visit last weekend for Kyle's birthday, great visit. This week the Dapkiewicz's are visiting Thursday-Friday and Jenna's visiting Friday-Sunday. We're having a little gathering for Labor Day next Saturday, too.
Hope to see many of you down here visiting soon!!!!

Katie, Kyle, Casey and Jimmy

And I also love my bottle!!!
My two children!!!
Casey in her "lifeguard" chair!!!

Hi Everyone :)
She's four months old already?!! How time flies. We had our appointment this morning and she is doing excellent. She weighed 16 lbs and was 25.5 inches long. Which was the 90th and 97th percentile respectively! She is sitting with some assistance, standing up on laps and in the exersaucer, rolling both ways and trying with all her might to move. I can not get over it! She will be telling me what to do by her first birthday, I'm positive!!! She was a trooper getting her shots, too. She cried loudly and as soon as I picked her up, she stopped and started laughing at the techs. We start rice cereal tonight and if all goes well for the next few weeks, we'll be able to start veggies :) :)

We head to PA on Wednesday for Heather and Craig's wedding...we can't wait!! We'll be back on Sunday some time...

Settling in out here in MD. It is just lovely. Please come to visit soon!!!
Enjoy these pictures!!!

Finally an update!!!

Fourth of July Weekend
Playing Kentucky Derby with my dad
Swimming at the indoor pool in NY
Finally at my new house :)
Big Smile :) :)

Hi Everyone!!!
Sorry it's been so long since I've updated. Apparently, we've been very busy. Ha ha ha. Casey and I drove down to spend time with Kyle in Virginia for the fourth of July weekend. We spent time packing up our things at the Falls Church house and I made a lovely 4th of July feast in our hotel room at the Marriot Suites...and then we watched fireworks on tv! Fun! We came back to PA on Monday and the end of the next week we drove up to the Finger Lakes area of NY for Seth and Rachel's wedding. It was beautiful up there and the wedding was a blast. It was great to see friends of ours from California. And they got to meet Casey, too so that was nice. We returned to PA for a day and then on Tuesday the 15th, we packed up and Kyle, Casey, Jimmy, Kyle's mom and Kyle's aunt headed down to the new house in Shady Side, MD. Kyle's mom and aunt were a tremendous help in getting the new house all cleaned up as it definitely needed a good scrubbing. On July 19th, the rest of the troops (my parents, brother and cousin Nick) showed up to help us move everything from the Falls Church house to the new house. Of course it was blazing hot, but we got it done with everyone's help. At the end of the night the boys all went swimming in the Bay.

Casey has been doing very well. She is now rolling over from back to belly and I think this is helping her sleep better than ever. In fact, the past few days she's napped so much I've gotten more done around the house than I thought I would. She loves to sit up on our laps and is even standing in her exersaucer for short periods, too! By my measurements, she's about 25 inches long and weighs in the 15lb. range. We go to the dr. on 8/4 for her 4 month check up... can't wait to hear the official word.

All in all, the past month has been a trying one for us, but with all of your support and kindness we're finally settling in to our new home...and it is a great one. Please come and visit soon!!!

Love,

Katie, Kyle, Casey and Jimmy

12 weeks...

Hi Everyone,

Here's a few pics of the little one. She's doing very well, even with all of the recent changes in her life. She's growing, sleeping, laughing and eating. She's getting very close to rolling over from back to belly. She's very strong. She's holding her head up very well and loves to be held on your knee looking out at everyone. I'm enjoying every minute of loving her to pieces. I hope you are all doing well. We hope to see you soon~

Moving :) :)

Hi Everyone,

Because it seems like we can't ever have a dull moment in our lives, we have decided to move. We found out yesterday that our insurance will only cover two more weeks of hotel/short term housing bills. The contractor working on our current rental home has not even started work and was quoted as saying it was a four month job but he could probably get it done in 90 days. We just can't wait around in limbo that long. So we found this house on the western shores of Maryland in a little town called Shady Side. The house is right on the bay. We have a boat slip and magnificent views. The home is immaculate and we will probably never have an opportunity to live somewhere like this again. Our actual move in date is 7/15. We will begin taking some of our things from storage over sooner than that...we are excited, but the whole moving process is always bittersweet. Especially when it is something you hadn't planned on. But everything happens for a reason. Please come and visit soon. Enjoy these few pictures :)

11 weeks!

Hi All...

Thanks for your kind e-mails and words of encouragement. Kyle and I still don't know much about where we'll be living ... as of right now I'm still in PA with the baby and the dog and he's at a Residence Inn in Falls Church. The tree was removed from our house and property. We are still waiting on insurance/contractors to estimate how long construction will take. We plan to begin looking at new rentals this weekend.

Anyway, Casey is doing very well all things considered. She's just a doll. Here are some pictures from last weekend at the pool. She didn't mind the pool much. She cried at first, but then relaxed and enjoyed it. She got to meet Owen Gearhart (Amy Schoeneberger-Gearhart's son). We were so excited to meet him :)

Hope to send pics of where we will be living soon~~he he!

Take care~~
Love,
Katie, Kyle, Casey and Jim
